32 Leaves Review

32 Leaves are a solid sounding rock band that lie somewhere between powerful progressive rock and heartfelt emotional rock music. They don’t conform to the recent trends of pop music that have flooded in to the world of rock, punk, or any other genres for that matter and we should all be grateful for that. It’s truly refreshing to be treated to something refreshing. The whole sounds smacks of talent. From Greg Norris, the lead singer who delivers a combination or melodies and hard rock sounds without having to scream and roar at every opportunity through the impressively catchy rhythms of the lead guitar to the solid backbone of the drumbeat. Make no mistake, 32 Leaves will improve on the reputation they have already started to build. They managed to beat bands like Velvet Revolver and the Foo Fighters in several radio battles and were also chosen to cover the song “Zero” on a recent Smashing Pumpkins tribute album. The album, Welcome To The Fall, offers just about everything in terms of pitch, tune, and rhythm. There are melodic, moody tracks and there are jump around effects loaded rock tracks to satiate the desire of every fan. Keep your ears open and your eyes peeled for more from 32 Leaves.

While the review gives some hints as to how good 32 Leaves is, I’m still a bit at a loss here. I’m not a very savvy observer of the pop/rock world except in the “I don’t like much of what the big labels are trying to sell us” sense, so I’d really like some clarification as to what “recent trends of pop music that have flooded in to the world of rock, punk, or any other genres.”

Also, are there any websites where I might get to check out 32 Leaves’ music?

A quick google usually pulls up results of where to hear the band.

That being said, anything you hear on commercial radio is exactly what the recent trends sounds like, with a few minor exceptions. Most bands these days that get continuous air play are a dime a dozen, but not 32 Leaves.

I love this band. Every song is packed with talent, and each song has a meaning I, and probably most people can relate to. The lead singer, Greg Norris, has a powerful and unique voice which is hard to find lately. Check them out. I was very impressed, and can’t wait for more.

Agreement with the comment which state that anything played on commercial radio is what the trends are setting. I have yet to hear someone so raw be played on radio. There is a great amount of musical ability here and I hope they do not get caught up in the commercial side of music.

You are correct Attagirl, and that is exactly why I gave up on commercial radio long long ago. If I wanted commercial radio, I may as well just grab a Brittany Spears single and play it over and over every five minutes.

The lead singer reminds me of the singer from Revis.
