Keeping it Alive Through the JukeBox!
As most are starting to notice, it is not about the radio anymore. Several are beginning to turn to the option of the Internet in order to find their best music. As an Indie artist, or even someone who just enjoys the benefits of radio, there are several areas for you to turn.
One of the expanding portals for Internet radio for Indie Artists is www.jukeboxalive.com. Not only does this radio have possibilities to see a consolidated list of artists of all genres, but also has a network of other radio areas that you can get your music played on.
The idea of Jukebox Alive is specifically for the Indie artist. It allows you to advertise your CD on one or several radio stations, and even to have your own area that connects to the jukebox from your website so that you can sell your CDs.
Finding options on the Internet means finding networks and places that want to advertise your music. This specific consolidated area of radio stations and artists is a great way to get your music heard.

I personally never listen to the radio anymore. When I am in front of my pc I have an internet jukebox going, and when in my car, I have burned cds. Radio is just junk to me. This new site sounds like something I may enjoy. I think I will mosey on over there and have a listen.
I have found so many different sites online where I can actually download into a jukebox style the exact songs I want to hear. I enjoy a wide range of different music genres. Sometimes I want to here R&B and rap then there is other times I am in a country mood. The different online sites allow you put on your personal jukebox just what you are in the mood for at the time. When I am in the car I am like Leighdu, I have an assortment of burned CD’s for my musical amusement.
I hadn’t heard of JukeBoxAlive before - I’ll check them out. I only listen to internet radio when I’m playing games. Most of the time I listen to my own music collection, since I find that when I’m listening to the raido I like to be able to google the new artists I hear
A good indie-focused radio station will be nice to check out, I could do with expanding my music collection again.
It seems we all agree about commercial radio. I went over to Jukebox Alive and it is awesome! I have already found a few artists that I know I am going to enjoy. I love how they have the genres split up into different categories, and you can see 20 songs per genre. I started out by picking a song by the title that interested me the most. It’s quite a neat site.
I’ve been to Jukebox Alive a few times and really enjoyed it. I agree that regular radio just doesn’t cut it. When I’m in the car or on my computer I have my ipod turned on. This way I can hear what I want to hear, also there’s no one talking.
