That is some interesting band right there, lyrics is good, sound and rhythm is good too. Fardreamer you're right about this blog. I myself too learn a lot about some indie artist and listen to their music. and about Melvin, plagiarism is a crime for your information.

Yep, sanju, I agree with you there. Nightmare of You does have talent and a very original name. I still say it is a bit Gothic-sounding but it belies the good music of the band and its clever songs.

One of the nicest things about Indie Update is that I've gotten to learn about artists and bands I'd normally not have learned about; I'm more of a classical music listener but I do like other styles of music, and I happen to enjoy this particular band.

The name of the fascinating and so is the music by this band,I gave try to most of the numbers they all are quite pleasant ones. The best out of them for me too is Normal Boy.The singers are talented and they have worked hard. The music and voice both leave an impact on the mind.

I, too, thought that Melvin's comment was very informative until I went to Wikipedia to make sure my own facts were correct and saw that his comment had been lifted, word for word, from the Wikipedia article on Nightmare of You.

Melvin, it's one thing to use the Internet to look up information to help you back up an opinion, just like going to a reference book and taking notes for a research paper or an article is perfectly fine. I have no quarrel with people who do research and mine data points. Even quoting and attributing stuff is okay.

What I DO take issue with is your habit of copy/pasting stuff from Wikipedia and passing it off as your own stuff. It's unethical and it is called "plagiarism."

Melvin,

If I wanted that information you just posted, I just would have went over to Wikipedia and read it word for word, just like you did, but wouldn't copy and paste it like you did. Anyways, still think these guys are pretty good and can only get better in time, and that is said by own opinion, not a copy/paste job (Melvin).

I wasn't disappointed by the sound of their music, even though at first the band's name sounded more like a heavy metal/Goth group than anything else. The lyrics are top-notch, though, and I really think they are worth checking out.

The band originally self-released their debut album on their own label The Bevonshire Label, and licensed it to East West Records In the US and Full Time Hobby in the UK. In the Spring of 2007 The Bevonshire Label split with East West Records.

Three singles, with accompanying videos, were released from the self-titled album. The singles were "My Name Is Trouble", "The Days Go by Oh So Slow" and "I Want to Be Buried In Your Backyard". All three videos have been featured predominately on the Fuse TV shows Steven's Untitled Rock Show and Oven Fresh.

I like their name. it's powerful and a little on the dark side. When I listened to their music I wasn't at all disappointed with their sound. In my opinion with their name they could have been a little 'darker sounding' and still been great.

I finally gave them a listen and I liked them. They reminded me just a tiny bit of the Beatles, did anybody else get that from the band?

I listened to "I Was Never a Normal Boy" and I really liked the music. The singer has such a smooth and melodic voice, and the song was instantly stuck in my head.
