Indie Venue Directory Released
I just was notified that the Indie Venue Bible has been released. This is a directory aimed at touring artists providing listings of over 26,000 music venues and 2000 booking agents in the US and Canada.
The venue directory includes anything from clubs to churches and community centers. There are even over 1000 colleges if you are thinking of starting a college tour.
The product is from our friends over at The Indie Bible which has been a proven tool for independent artists.

I think that it is awesome that they have come out with a venue guide that will list the many venus that are available for bands to play at. I am sure that it is very comprehensive, but there could be some that might have been forgotten so make sure that you do not sell yourself short. I know how hard it is to make sure that you have everything that you need to have in one guide book.

In the Austin, you would think I would know all the hot spots for Indie bands, but I have found out that there are many out there that lots of us still haven’t heard about. A directory like is definitely a good idea, and will help promote clubs and bands alike.

I would have to agree that the time has finally come where the indie genre has come of age. The fact that a guide to venues has been published says that there are enough people that want to listen to indie music that shows there are plenty of places for bands to play. Bravo for publishing the Indie Venue Bible. I wonder if there is a place you could release this information so that radio stations could promote it. Just a thought.

You know that this information is not just valuable for the music industry as often at the venues there can be other things going on as well. You never know when you might be able to sell some products or use it to your advantage as well. I know many people that would pay a handsome price for this information.
Glad to see that others out there think that it was about time for this information to come about.

Now that I have had a chance to look it over and get a bunch of great information. I would recommend that anyone who has not had the opportunity to pick it up do so before it is no longer available. Especially if you enjoy going to concerts and need to know where venues are and being able to hook up with the right people can really help your business grow.
The indie scene really needed this to come about and will help many other genres because they have provided much needed information.

yes, i really think that this directory will be very helpful for indie fans. the bands and artists are not the only ones who will gain benefits on this directory but also for those label companies who are searching and trying to discover talents.
