Stereo 360

Somewhere in this effort is a nugget of true understanding. After all, this guy states that Roy Orbison was the best ever. In addition, Stereo 360 is influenced by none other than Charles Bukowski, the bad boy of street poets and not-for-profit philosophers. Great stuff./p>
As for the music, "Sick of You" from Enjoy Your Life Poolside (Baby Pea Records) is a good song, if not great. There is some nice growling guitar at the beginning of the tune. (Personal note: This listener does enjoy the chorus lyrics.) Try out "Superstar" (Enjoy Your Life PoolsideBaby Pea Records) for a taste of Stereo 360 and "new" music. This straightforward, 21st century tune is not very deep, emotionally, but it provides a picture of what the musical youth of today are thinking about."Automatic" and "Vaseline Mouth" from the same CD are among the best songs from this artist (personal opinion again).
Here’s what the cover page of the Stereo 360 Web site has to say: "Stereo 360 is Rock n Roll. And what is rock? It’s loud. It’s big. It’s bold. It’s attitude. It’s in your face. Rock doesn’t step up behind you and tap you on the shoulder, it rushes at you from the front and slaps you in the face. It demands attention."
All that’s left to do is listen to the music and decide if you agree.

Hmm, I am not too sure that I would label “Sick of You” a great or even good song. In my opinion it is just “ok”. There isn’t anything that really stands out aside from some pretty neat guitar riffs.
Anyhow, I gave Stereo 360 a try, listened to most of their songs, and the one thing they have on almost every tune is fabulous guitar work. “Automatic” has a nice little beat going on, and is probably my favorite so far. Even the lyrics are not half bad. I feel they could potentially grow on me over time, but they didn’t wow me.

I too would have to say that “Sick of You” was all that great of a song. The guitar riffs are good but I really thought the overall song was only common if that. I am willing to try listening to anything, as we all know some things we go with others we do not. I have heard other bands from this site that I liked much more. Some of the other songs were ok in my opinion but this is not an artist that I would really put in my collection.

Me either Attagirl, at least not yet. I do hear lots of potential though, and I think that the music can grow on people with those catchy beats, but Stereo 360, at this point, is not a band I would tell my friends to check out.

I think the writer of the original article intended to say that the song was good, but not great.

While I won’t deny that Leighdu has a point in saying that Stereo 360 does have potential, right now that’s just what they have, “potential.” They aren’t bad, really, but am I going to drop whatever I’m doing and listen to them if they get airplay on a Miami station? Nope. Not right now, anyway.

Fardreamer, was there any particular song that stands out to you at all? Like I said, I really don’t find these guys to be a bad band, and there are some catchy tunes. If I heard them on the radio (which I rarely listen to anyways unless its Sirius) I wouldn’t change the station. I just think that they need to stand out a bit more and grow.

I kind of like, in a generic sort of way, “Sick of You,” if only for its instrumentals. Other than that, they sound a bit generic. Not awful, understand, but they sound, well, somewhat like a bunch of other rock bands.
