I’ve heard of these guys before. Inept is one of my roomate’s favorite bands. I can’t remember how many times I’ve heard “So Much Between Us”, but I’m not complaining. I think these guys have the type of sound to become very popular with the casual listener. If I didn’t see them here on Indie Update, I would have thought that they’d already made it big. Oh, gasp, they’re coming to Kentucky! I’m definitely gonna have to go

I listened again a few times and nope, I just don’t hear that much of a resemblance to the 60’s and 70’s era of music. If I had to choose a song that semi resembles the 70’s, I would say the guitar riffs on “The Call” sort of do. Maybe you can enlighten me on something that I am missing ?

“So Much Between Us” is definitely worth a listen in my opinion as well. Honestly, I don’t care too much for the lead vocals, but the lyrics and instrumentals more than make up for it. I wish I could say that for the rest of their music as well, but they really don’t do too much for me. I’ll write them down as a typical band of their time, and I really don’t hear any resemblance at all of the late 60’s, early 70’s.
