The fact that her songs sound religious but aren’t obviously Christian makes me think of Marc Cohn for some reason. I saw her on Leno, and I have to say- the picture does not serve her justice at all!

The writer of the article is dead-on about Aimee Mann. I think I read the first article here at Indie Update and I wandered over to her MySpace page at the time. Yes, some of her songs do sound almost religious, but they aren’t obviously Christian, which suits me fine.

Wow. Jay Leno. That IS a great venue for exposure.

Well with that kind of exposure, she definitely has a great shot at it Silver_Song. Articles like these help quite a bit too. I always say also you can never go wrong by using a piano for song writing.

I’m so happy Aimee has gotten further in her career. Her songs are the sort to play in the car while cruising around doing errands. I’ve always liked Mann’s voice, soft, mellow, and peaceful. It’s about time she gets some recognition, and perhaps they will play her more often on the radio if her fans ask enough. I’d look forward to the day that happens.

I had no clue she was on Jay Leno but congrats to her ! You can’t ask for better publicity than that. I hope she does great in musical career. Just reading her comments on her 7th cd interests me. I may have get a copy.
