The band as the name suggests are standing tall as far quality music is concerned.Quite different from the main stream stuff. The keyboard is being incorporated but the use is with perfection.I also get carried away with such numbers :Maybe I’m Just Tired.

It is 100% refreshing to hear something different. If I hear one more whiny nasal lead vocalist I think I will lose my mind. To give credit where credit is due, “Maybe I’m Just Tired” truly is a beautiful song. It’s a tearjerker and would probably be a perfect song to listen to if you are going through a break up. Sometimes a tearjerker or two is just what people need. I still think their strong point is their keyboards though, but the more I listen to them, the more little things I am starting to like about them. For example on “Love Love Love Love”, they are perfectly in sync, right on beat, and the vocals are wonderful.

I didn’t really give them much of a chance the first go around, but they grow on you, at least me, if you let them.

I understand they are not your style, which is ok. It is not for everyone. But you have to admit that for a very long time in the scene that they did not exist and it is refreshing to hear something different. At least for me it is great hearing new things that are not like others.

Yes, I’ll give credit where credit is due, and Attagirl, I definitely agree about the keyboards. Even though as I said before they are not my style, I’m liking the keyboards.

As Tall as Lions has a blues/jazz style to them or at least the first song I heard does which is “Love Love Love Love” and was not the best as far as I am concerned. I am sure there are many people out there that will like this band. The lead vocal is a not a unique sound he sounds like someone else I have heard.

Will give them credit with good use of keyboards, not overpowering. “Ghost of York” kept my attention musically, which is very important in a song. I would be willing to listen to this song on occasion.

Wow, they sure have a lot of influences in different genres. Any band who includes Tribe Called Quest as one of their influences is alright with me , but NKOTB? Ha, that’s classic!

Anyways, they are just alright in my opinion. They are not what would I call terrible, but they did bore me rather quickly. I’ll agree about “Into the Flood” though. That one at least kept my attention.

Oh, I really enjoy this band. I’ve heard of these guys before and had to look into their songs. It’s definitely different, being full of beat without totally going crazy with the music. It’s more…mellow, I think would be the proper word. Very nice though. Into the Flood is one of my favorite songs by these guys.
