He may be a good songwriter but he should try going out of his religious box and explore some other song topics. Most people turn to music to relax or to have fun, not to hear a sermon.As for his singing, I would say it is good but in my own opinion I don’t think a lot of people would like it.For myself, I was weirded out by his performance of The Reverend Moon.

The songs though preachy but are surely to reach the hearts of the listeners.It is one of the best combination, if the lyrics are composed and as well as sung by the same person.It adds to the intensity and passion of the singer.J P Houston is going well and will do better in times to come.

I always give artists who write their own songs a certain amount of respect. He does have that originality that most song writers have but a lot of his songs may tend to be preachy to some and unfortunately are terribly misunderstood by most listeners.

this guy is such a great artist. it is not that easy to be a producer and at the same time, singer. many people can not manage it and he is one of the greatest. it seems like he is a very versatile singer. he can sing solo and with a band which is a great ability of an artist.
