Maybe the world needs to have more poppy and upbeat songs these days. I am not sure why "happy" songs don't thrill many people, and I often wonder if we (as a society) have become so cynical and hard-bitten that if the music isn't brooding or angry, or at the very least "edgy", then it will turn off a large number of listeners. (Granted, I wouldn't want to live in a fake environment of perpetual happiness; that'd be like being trapped in Disney's "Small World" rid forever, but still, it's sad to note that to many people, the songs of Gershwin, Porter, and Kern sound atonal and affected.

Hopefully Kate Earl will be able to find her niche without having to compromise her artistic integrity. I, for one, wish her well!

Yes I go with all the above comments. She is a pretty girl with golden voice. Her song melody is a beautiful number so is the Golden St. She has that magic in her voice. It is a bit husky at the same time quite soothing, a good combination you see.

well, i think that this is the best thing about a female singer. you are not afraid to listen to her and try it out. female singers are really now a days very popular. they all have great voices, some are angelic and very cool to the ears. this is the big difference between a male and a female singer.

I think she has a great voice for starters. My niece actually had me listen to her a few weeks ago, and I liked her then too. She seems almost sweet, but with something completely different underneath. Almost like you have no idea who she really is. Is she a sweet little girl? Or something else?

Sweet. Easy to listen to. Finger snapping. Toe tapping. Overall enjoyable. I can't help but smile every time I hear 'Melody'.

I really appreciate her voice. she do have a great voice. and i think she would be a big sell. and i hope that she will be a model to those aspiring singers and bands. she is a kind of person who i think will become successful and will hit the music industry.

Really nice voice, nice songs and she ain't hard on the eye either but I can see how she can easily get lost in the mix with all the current influx of nice girls singing nice songs.

Hers is a story young teens will certainly relate to. Hope she does well. She's got the talent for it.

I have a feeling she's gonna blow up immensely, and it can't hurt that she has Tommy Mottola backing her. I don't consider among some of the greats that I have heard, but people love songs that they can relate to, and I can definitely relate to "Melody". I think just about any music lover can, but her up beat poppy sound will not appeal to everyone. It will definitely appeal to the pop masses though.
