Mixposure
It looked sort of interesting so I thought I would look into it a bit further. After all, the Web site does claim to be the future of indie music. No, this is not a brand new site, nor is it a completely new idea. The new Mixposure is reportedly not associated with the old Mixposure. The name/domain was purchased from a third-party vendor after the original Mixposure dude let the domain go.
Many of the features are the same, especially the “place for many musicians to hang their hat.” So it is the same, only different, I guess. New moderators, new musicians – that’s what they claim.
Sounds good to me. Here’s what I saw in a few minutes of casual browsing.
A featured label called “Los Bomberos de Monte Cruz” in the Latin genre. But wait! It’s based in Europe (founded 2005). Another Germany-based label is Jelly, which bills itself as “the little independent label from Berlin, Germany.” Since 1991, really? That’s nice. You may also want to check into Casino Gitano, also from Europe.
This site also has a menu item called “Mixing” which takes the viewer to some hints about dealing with mixing and recording problems such as mike setup, noise reduction, equalization and bussing signals. I haven’t shovelled my way into this section yet, but it may be worth the time it takes to sign up as a member – free, about two minutes.

The new mixposure is a blatant act of piracy by someone who commandeered the domain site in a moment of vulnerability. The new engineer of Mixposure is a fraud and has nothing to do with the brilliance and ingenuity of the original Mixposure built from the ground up by one person – who is trying to get the domain back. Apparently the new guy is to pleased with capitalizing on someone elses ideas to do the right thing and place it in the capable hands of the one whose baby it is.
The owner/admin of Mixposure “Wildcherry” a.k.a. “Wildcherry7777″ a.k.a. “Cupcake77″ is a complete airhead. She trolls and starts flame wars at the city-data.com forums whining about how awful she’s got it in her brand new mansion outside of Dallas, and how terrible she has it having to put up with living in Texas. I hadn’t even heard of Mixposure.com until she flaunted it all over her profile on other sites. I was thinking, “how could this whiny airhead have such another site?” Thanks Heather, now I know.
Had a terrible experience with one of the new owners/admins of the Mixposure site. Complete moron would be putting it lightly. Please spare yourself from her disaster. Eventually, hopefully they will be exposed for the frauds that they are.

The new Mixposure is bad. Terrible experiences with one of the owners/admins. To say she’s an airhead is putting it kindly. Additionally, she trolls another web forum all day long whining about how bad she has it in her Texas mcmansion and spreads slander about the state. Don’t expect good customer service with Mixposure. You’ll be wasting your time with this site. Go elsewhere.
