i must honestly say that Open Air Stereo is a very talented rock band. what sets them apart from different groups is the fact, they aren't afraid to take risk when it comes to writing music. it shows how versatile and original they are. for their age, without a doubt.. i think they'll make it huge. great work guys!

Sometimes it happens Fardreamer, because you will hear a hit song on a show and then the band pretty much disappears into the "One Hit Wonder" status. I don't think that will be the case with these guys though.

I don't understand why someone would "pooh-pooh" a band for being on Laguna Beach and say that they are "only anything because of Laguna Beach." Frankly, that's selling the band short and smacks to me of "sour grapes."

Very true, leighdu. I think that no matter where a band appears (television, movies, etc.), they had to have some type of talent to get there in the first place. Promotion never hurts, there's no reason they should turn down something like Laguna Beach. It will get their name out.

Yes, true, they were on Laguna Beach, but the statement "the band is only anything because of Laguna Beach" is not true. Just listening to them I can tell they have talent whether their music appeared on a t.v. show or not. I'm sure it helped them get their name out there, but they would still be a talented band regardless.

With a mix of drums and guitars that are quite the show of talent, I think they will be able to go further than others in this area. Orange County is really popping out bands that have some clout with fans. Open Air Stereo is not only a unique band that has had exposure but they have a name that is a name which can be remembered. It would not take too much to win over the crowd in any area of the country.

Before listening to the band, I didn't care that they were on Laguna Beach. I don't think it matters, what difference does it make if the band still makes good music?

The song "Heaven" is interesting. Didn't care much for the beginning, like others, but I liked the chorus and the rest of the song after that.

"Your Way is My Way" is nicely done, I really enjoyed that one the most. Great song!

I did some research and found out that the band was featured on Laguna Beach which was aired on August 2006. Maybe this has helped them to gain more recognition in the music industry. Visited their site and found out that they have a new version of the song “Your way is my way”. You will need a copy of Flash program to view their site. The site’s URL is www.openairstereo.com

Are you sick and tired of having your latest material refused or negated by stuffy record labels?

Do you feel like your creativity is waining with each boring working day?

Then we can do something about it!

Welcome to Indie Aid. A global community website, run by independant artists, who offer a global audience to those artisits who find it difficult to get exposure for their work.

A random artist is chosen from the submission panel and for an entire week, the site becomes that artist's 'shrine'. Where others can learn about the members, listen to their music and browse any artwork that may be available. At the end of the week, visitors can buy the artist's work via cd or mp3 from their own dedicated on-line shop at Indie Aid.

We're really trying to push back the rules of engagement with these arsey record labels who refuse to listen to original talent. So, if you've got a story to tell, no matter what genre you may represent (or indeed...if you have no genre!), we want to know about you!
