I just love this band especially their song “breakdown”. his voice was awesome with a manly tune. One of my favorite rock band out there. I never thought that tantric is a indie. anyway, its not important, I love their songs a lot.

I agree with most of the comments above, the vocals are quite remarkable and so is the manly voice.The music is loud but the right kind of balance has been struck through all numbers.If you listen to Break Down you will feel completly different kind of feeling.

You know what, I think what happens is they write the music first then the lyrics come and in many cases they are trying to match the music instead of bringing it down an octave they just sing in falsetto (higher pitched, whiny voice). There are many lead singers that I have heard sing lower range songs and they are so much better.

Silver, you and I are in the same boat. I’ve said it quite a few times in other posts as well, but I think it’s worth it to say it again. There are too many whiny voiced bands out there. Just because one band made it with that style doesn’t mean a million more can imitate them and make it as well. All that does is make a plethora of bands that sound exactly the same. Anyways, off my rant and back to topic; these guys are great .

Wow, these guys are from Kentucky? It’s about time a good band came from my state! I agree with the above posters. It’s refreshing to have a ‘manly’ voice. If other people have read my other posts, they might realize that I really don’t like bands that are A) Either screamos or B) Have whiny voices. These guys are thankfully nothing of the sort. The sound is awesome, the name is awesome, and well, these guys have earned a new fan!

I too had recognized the name Tantric, and you have to admit that you have vocals that are very distinctive and is what makes people who have heard them remember them. I love the harder sound with its cool vibe.

If you have not listed to “Down and Out” check it out and then leave a message about what you think. I really liked this one. The sound was awesome.

I think that when you listen to someone who is out of the norm vocally you enjoy it more. I have heard “Breakdown” before here and really enjoy this song.

Ha Ausqtie, I wasn’t going to admit that, but the band name alone was enough for me to go check them out long ago. I think they will be around for quite some time. They definitely have the staying power, and the talent to back it up.

The first thing that grabbed my attention about “Tantric” had to be the sensual name. How can you not check out how the music makes you feel when the band is named “Tantric”? I agree with Leighdu the manly rhythm of the vocals really grabs and mesmerizes you. I have enjoyed Tantric’s music for many years and will continue to be a fan.

I remember these guys from back in 01, and always wondered what happened to them.

I love the vocals. I know I am being repetitive with this, but it is always a refreshing change to hear a “manly” voice singing his heart out, and you just can’t get more manly than the lead, especially one “Breakdown”. which still happens to be a favorite of mine. I am not sure why, but I think it has pretty much everything to do with the lead vocals.
