I wanted to come back to this because a comment that a friend of mine recently made about Tegan and Sara. He feels that these girls are basically the flavor of the month. Now I absolutely love "Back in Your Head" and I think they did a remarkable job with the lyrics, but I wonder if I would like it so much if it was put to a different beat with different instrumentals.

Thanks Fardreamer :-). Two months after writing my other comment about Tegan and Sara, "Back in Your Head" still gets continuous play and is tops in my music library. Can't get enough of them !

Re Shading - To each his own, I suppose. There's no "right or wrong" about musical tastes; I happen to like genres I'm willing to bet others who have commented here might not like, and while I hope they don't disparage my personal likes or dislikes, I respect their views even though they won't change my mind.

I happen to like singers of both genders, because guys have certain vocal qualities that women don't and vice versa. Maybe in my collection of CDs male artists tend to have a slight edge, but I still love hearing feminine voices and tones.

To Leighdu: You seem to be an individual with a rich musical palate, at least from what I glean from your comments here.

To the writer of the Blog: This was a neat review! Thanks for calling this duo to my attention.

I heard their new single and I really like it. It is definitely one of those songs that you get stuck in your head, and definitely one that I can see allowing them to blow up even more.

Love them too! My friend introduced me to these gals when she let me borrow one of her cds. I think some of their songs need a bit of an acquired taste from the listener because their voices are certainly different from other female singers I've heard before. Is that a bad thing? No, certainly not, and I love them for it. I'm a huge fan and hope that they continue making rockin' albums.

Love them, love them, and love them ! "Back in Your Head" is getting some good exposure and building a fan following for them, and deservingly so. In fact, if not for this song I would have never even these girls a second thought. But because of that one song, I had check out what they had to offer. They are surprisingly unique and smooth on just about every song. I can see Tegan and Sara going extremely far. I also like their romantic side, where they aren't typically cheesy like so many other love songs, with lyrics like, " I felt you in my legs before I even met you".

I haven't heard much from Tegan and Sara, but just enough so that I can say I kind of like them. I love female singers and groups that women front, if they are good singers. About half of my iPod is basically female vocalists in a variation of rock music. I wonder why more people don't really like Tegan and Sara?

Obviously, Shading, you've never listened to Evanescence.

I've heard these two before, they're good singers, but this is the first time I've seen a picture of them, lovely pair.

The contrast in the voices is mild, but noticeable, and they work perfectly together. Maybe I'll pick up The Con next time I'm down at Wal-Mart, they might still be stocking it, I wouldn't know, I don't keep up with music often.

I myself am not a very big fan of female singers. Of course they can have a very nice voice, but for rock and roll, punk, and often times even country, I just do not like the sounds of a woman up against the guitars and drums. I do like them singing for solos and in the background. I just prefer the male singing voice, so I would be hesitant to listen to Tegan and Sara.

These twins are very very cool and it comes across in their music.

I have to save that at first I found them a little eerie but have gotten past that and now just concentrate on the music.

They deserve to have some success although I have the feeling that something low level would suit them best.

The Con is a great release and I highly recommend it.
