I live up near Cincinnati, and though they do hold some shows up there, bands tends to forget about it more often than not! I've loved Valencia ever since I heard The Space Between. Their sound kind of reminds me of Jimmy Eat World. Either ways, I'm glad that there's an article about them here! Valencia deserves more recognition. Hey shading-scars, I know how you feel! I think they could bring more to the table if they worked on the vocals a bit. I am not saying that they are a terrible as they do have a song that is a hit to me, but I think with work they could do a bit better. When listening to bands like this you have to be able to differentiate between the style they are portraying and the sound of the music itself. Indie rock music has been around a while now and the influences are clear in the music of today. Every big band always forgets about Ohio and it is very upsetting. So of this band wants to gain some fans that other bands lose out on, actually try and visit some new cities. I would go see them.
